Seven VHS apprentices graduate to Nurse Aides in November cohort
Seven Virginia Health Services apprentice program students graduated from Care Assistants to Nurse Aides during a ceremony Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at the EEE Center
Tammy leads the day-to-day accounting operations for Virginia Health Services. A Kansas native, she moved to Virginia in 1988 while her husband was active duty in the armed forces. She actively supported military wives during countless military deployments as well as raising two children before joining the Virginia Health Services family. Tammy started with VHS in 2003 as a junior accountant and later graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting concentration, in 2006. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, one grandson and three rescued greyhounds. Tammy believes in the work-life balance and lives by the saying, “Don’t worry about failure, worry about chances you miss when you don’t try.” Tammy enjoys supporting the VHS mission and working with an outstanding team.
